Roy Heisler

Award winning Cinematographer, and Editor Roy Heisler has been working in the industry for over 20 years.
He has worked in some of the most dangerous locations on earth.

In 2005, Mr. Heisler was the Co-Creator, Camera Operator, and Motion Graphics Specialist for a 10 episode series on A&E titled Random 1. The series aired from 2005 to 2006. Random 1 just signed a new contract with The Oprah Network.

In 2009, he was lead camera and editor for a series for The Travel Channel that focused on the islands of the Caribbean.

For the past 6 years, he has been the head Cinematographer for The Mountain Gorilla Veterinary Project, an organization that is responsible for the protection and revitalization of the endangered Mountain Gorillas of Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. He works directly with Wild Gorillas and with the amazing doctors that are saving them.

He is also currently working with Johns Hopkins University in over 7 countries in Africa and Asia.

He has been a photographer and cinematographer at Paris and NY fashion week for Valentino and Saks Jandel, and he also shoots national commercials, music videos, and short films. In 2013 he started The Legacy Mission. A nonprofit organization that helps individuals and families create professional films that reflect hope, joy and perseverance as they confront a life-threatening illness.

His camera credits include work for: Intel, Volkswagen, Amazon, The Smithsonian, Hewlett Packard, Reuters, ESPN, BBC, Travel Channel, A&E, Johns Hopkins, and many others.
